The second phase of the Dialysis Centre at St. George Hospital, Vazhakulam was inaugurated at a special function held on January 1, 2026, at the hospital premises. The expanded facility is expected to strengthen dialysis services and provide better treatment support for patients suffering from kidney-related ailments in the region.

The inauguration was performed by Sojan Joseph, Member of Parliament, United Kingdom, in the presence of hospital authorities, community leaders, and well-wishers.

The dialysis centre project was sponsored by the K J Joseph Charitable Foundation (KKJJCF). K. J. Joseph, Chairman of the foundation, attended the event and addressed the gathering. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of providing accessible and affordable dialysis treatment to patients who require continuous care.

Speakers at the function highlighted that the second phase expansion would significantly increase the hospital’s capacity to serve more patients and help reduce the financial and logistical burden faced by families requiring regular dialysis treatment.

‘Madhuram Malayalam’ Project Launched at Pulinthanam Govt. U.P. School, Pothanikkad

Pothanikkad: The ‘Madhuram Malayalam’ project, an initiative aimed at promoting love for the Malayalam language among school children, was officially launched at Pulinthanam Government U.P. School, Pothanikkad.

The project is being implemented in collaboration with the K.J. Joseph Kuttappillil Charitable Foundation. The foundation’s chairman, K.J. Joseph, inaugurated the program by distributing copies of the Mathrubhumi newspaper to the students.

PTA President Siju Antony presided over the function. Headmistress Aneesa Muhammed, teachers P.A. Abisha Mol, K.P. Daisy, T.M. Alimon, and Mathrubhumi representative Basil K. Pathrose were also present.

മാനസികാരോഗ്യ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ ഇന്നത്തെ സമൂഹത്തിൽ നേരിടുന്ന ഒരു പ്രധാന വെല്ലുവിളിയാണ്. ഇതിനെ മുൻനിർത്തി, കെ.ജെ. ജോസഫ് ചാരിറ്റബിൾ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ, എറണാകുളം മെഹക് ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ, കൂടാതെ പോത്താനിക്കാട് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് എന്നിവയുടെ സംയുക്താഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ ഒരു മാനസികാരോഗ്യ പദ്ധതി ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു.

The initiative, set to begin on July 4, 2025, aims to provide consistent, accessible, and professional mental health care for individuals in and around the Koottappillil region.

Services Offered

This mental health project is designed to address various psychological challenges faced by individuals across different age groups. The services offered include:

Mental Health Project at Pothanikkad

Koottappillil K. J. Joseph Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with Ernakulam Mehak Foundation and in association with Pothanikkad Grama Panchayat, is launching a Mental Health Initiative in Pothanikkad.

As part of the program, free counseling, medical treatment, and de-addiction support will be provided to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

The official inauguration of the project will take place on Friday, 06 June 2025, at 2:00 PM, at the Koottappillil Charitable Foundation Auditorium, Pothanikkad.

The event will be presided over by Shri. K. J. Joseph Koottappillil, Founder of the Foundation, and the inauguration will be carried out by Hon. Dr. Mathew Kuzhalnadan MLA, Muvattupuzha.

പോത്താനിക്കാട് സമൂഹ വികസനത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി, കൂറ്റപ്പിള്ളിൽ ചാരിറ്റബിൾ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ ഫെബ്രുവരി മാസം പോത്താനിക്കാട് ആധുനിക സൗകര്യങ്ങളുള്ള ആഡിറ്റോറിയം ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. മൂവാറ്റുപുഴ എം.എൽ.എ. മാത്യു കുഴൽനാടൻ ഉത്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട് സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിച്ചു.

ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്റെ സ്ഥാപകനും ചെയർമാനുമായ കെ. ജെ. ജോസഫ് കൂറ്റപ്പിള്ളിൽ ഈ പദ്ധതിയെ വിജയത്തിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുന്നതിൽ നിർണായക പങ്കുവഹിച്ചു. സംസ്കാരിക, വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ, സാമൂഹിക പരിപാടികൾക്കായി ഉപയോഗിക്കാവുന്ന ഈ ആഡിറ്റോറിയം പ്രാദേശിക സമൂഹത്തിന് ഒരു വലിയ സംഭാവനയാണെന്ന് എല്ലാവരും അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നു.

പ്രസംഗത്തിൽ കെ. ജെ. ജോസഫ് ആഡിറ്റോറിയം നിര്‍മ്മാണത്തില്‍ പിന്തുണ നൽകിയ എല്ലാവർക്കും ഹൃദയപൂർവം നന്ദി അറിയിച്ചു. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം, അടിസ്ഥാനസൗകര്യങ്ങൾ, സാമൂഹിക സേവനങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയിലൂടെ സമൂഹത്തെ ഉന്നതിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്റെ ദൗത്യത്തെ അദ്ദേഹം വീണ്ടും ഉദ്ധരിച്ചു.

In a significant stride toward community development, the Koottappillil Charitable Foundation proudly inaugurated its brand-new auditorium in Pothanikkad this February. The grand ceremony was marked by the esteemed presence of Hon. Dr. Mathew Kuzhalnadan, MLA of Muvattupuzha, who officially inaugurated the auditorium.

The foundation’s visionary leader, Mr. K. J. Joseph Koottappillil, who is also the founder of the Koottappillil Charitable Foundation, played a pivotal role in bringing the project to fruition. The auditorium stands as a testament to the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to serve the local community by offering a modern space for cultural, educational, and social events.
